Grove Health Direct Primary Care
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
-
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a healthcare model where patients pay a monthly membership fee directly to their physician for comprehensive primary care services. Unlike traditional practices, Direct Primary Care does not bill insurance, allowing for longer visits, better access, and a focus on preventive and chronic care.
-
In traditional insurance-based practices, physicians are often limited by short visits and high patient volume due to insurance restrictions and payment models.
In a Direct Primary Care practice:
Visits are intentional, based on the time and setting that individual needs rather than “one size fits all” time and place setting required in traditional insurance models.
There are no copays or per-visit fees - membership covers in depth and comprehensive internal medicine level care.
Communication is easier and more direct- messages go directly to your doctor for input. No phone trees or multi-step processes to reach out for questions or care.
Care is relationship-based rather than transactional.
-
No.

-
