Dr. Vanessa Scowden, M.D.

Dr. Scowden grew up in Swartz Creek, Michigan. She attended medical school at SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine, graduating in 2012 and completing her residency at the University of Wisconsin. She moved back to Michigan in 2015 to take a staff position at the University of Michigan and Michigan Medicine, caring for patients and families until launching Grove Health DPC in 2026 where she hoped to provide personalized, timely care for her community.
When not at work, you can likely find her at one of her three kids’ activities (now all Brighton Bulldogs) or spending time with her dachshund or husband (who is a local public school teacher). She would love to hear about your next travel plans, even better if Disney is in the itinerary!
